Installation Instructions for Mounting a 110V Air Conditioning Unit
The following Method of Procedure (MOP) outlines the precise steps required to mount a 110V air conditioning unit to the designated cutout on the enclosure. This procedure applies to both 5G and 5G Micro enclosure models.
Included Components
Your HVAC unit includes the following parts necessary for installation:
- Gasket: Supplied by the air conditioner manufacturer and included in the air conditioner’s shipping container. This gasket ensures a proper seal between the unit and the enclosure.
- Mounting Hardware: Provided for securing the air conditioning unit to the enclosure cutout.
Installation Steps
- Prepare the Enclosure:
- Verify that the enclosure cutout dimensions match the specifications provided in the air conditioner’s manual.
- Ensure the cutout area is clean, free of debris, and structurally sound.
- Apply the Gasket:
- Locate the gasket included in the air conditioner’s shipping container.
- Carefully apply the gasket to the mounting surface of the air conditioning unit, ensuring full coverage and a secure fit to prevent air or water leaks.
- Position the Air Conditioning Unit:
- Align the air conditioning unit with the enclosure cutout, ensuring the gasket is properly seated against the enclosure surface.
- Check that the unit is level and positioned correctly for optimal performance.
- Secure the Unit:
- Use the provided mounting hardware to fasten the air conditioning unit to the enclosure cutout.
- Tighten all hardware according to the manufacturer’s torque specifications to ensure a firm and stable connection.
- Final Inspection:
- Confirm that the gasket is properly compressed and forms a tight seal.
- Inspect all mounting points to ensure the unit is securely attached and there are no gaps or misalignments.
